The National Training Conclave, hosted by the Capacity Building Commission, is part of the National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building (NPCSCB) called ‘Mission Karmayogi.’ Its main objective is to promote collaboration among civil services training institutes and enhance the training infrastructure for civil servants across the country.
The conclave took place at the International Exhibition and Convention Centre Pragati Maidan in New Delhi and saw the participation of more than 1,500 representatives from various training institutes, including Central Training Institutes, State Administrative Training Institutes, Regional and Zonal Training Institutes, and Research institutes. The attendees comprised civil servants from the central government departments, state governments, and local governments, along with experts from the private sector.
One of the panel discussions during the conclave was on the topic of “Faculty Selection, Onboarding, and Development,” in which Professor Ram Kumar Kakani served as a panelist. This discussion likely focused on addressing the challenges and strategies related to selecting, onboarding, and developing faculty members for civil services training institutes.
The conclave covered several key concerns related to civil services training institutes, such as faculty development, training impact assessment, and content digitization. The event aimed to provide a platform for knowledge-sharing, exchange of best practices, and fostering innovation in the training of civil servants.
