JeevAshray- The animal welfare club of IIM-Raipur is aimed to look towards the well-being of dogs and other animals in the campus for maintaining harmony, helping animals in need and promoting empathy towards our fellow furry and feathery friends.
Bearing this quote in mind, JeevAshray-The Animal Welfare Club was founded in 2022. We started the club with the commitment of:
- Promoting love, appreciation, and compassion for animals
- Promoting the message of coexistence with the peers at IIM-Raipur
- Creating association with external NGOs and shelters for help and assistance.
- Creating guidelines and policies for the betterment of animals and students in the campus.
- Actively working on the current crisis of the increasing dog population in the campus and finding solutions to curb the issue.
A list of activities was hence carried out that year to meet the club’s objectives.
- Donation Drives-A donation drive was conducted to raise funds for medicines, food and vet visits in the campus. This activity proved to be very successful. Students and faculty contributed generously.
