FAQ's

1. When is the summer placement starting ?
Summer placements for the 2026-2028 batch are tentatively scheduled to start in 1st week of September, 2026.
2. When is the Final placement starting ?
Final placements for the 2025-2027 batch are tentatively scheduled to start from October 2026.
3. What is the batch strength ?
The 2025-2027 batch of IIM Raipur consists of 337 students. The 2026-2028 batch of IIM Raipur consists of 348 students.
4. Industry experience and Education background profile of the students ?
The students of IIM Raipur come from very diverse educational backgrounds ranging from engineering, medical sciences, chartered accountancy, commerce, journalism and pure sciences. We also have an almost-equal ratio of students with freshers and work experience, with representation from industries such as information technology, infrastructure, manufacturing, consultancy, healthcare, fashion, journalism, audit and banking among others. The average work experience is 24 months for the second-year batch (2025-2027).
5. What is the Recruitment Process followed in IIM Raipur ?
Kindly express your interest in recruitment to the institute, either by mailing to placement@iimraipur.ac.in or by contacting the placement office over phone (for details see below). The Placement Committee will ensure the convenience of companies by assigning a single point of contact at IIM Raipur.
A Pre-Placement Talk (PPT) can be conducted at the IIM Raipur campus on a mutually convenient date, which can help the students understand the various summer projects that are on offer. Abiding with the companies’ requirements, the resumes of students will be forwarded for short-listing. The recruitment process will be conducted at IIM Raipur campus on a mutually agreed date. The Placement Committee represents the link between the selected students and the companies, and shall conduct all communications.

7. Where can I get placement brochure ?
Please submit your details at (link). The brochure will be sent to you via e-mail and to the address specified by you in soft copy or hard copy format, as per your preference.
8. What kind of information students expect from company PPTs and/or company brochures ?

Students will benefit from the following information regarding the brochure:

  • About the company and profile offered
  • Locations where the student is likely to be posted
  • Career roles and responsibilities offered in different types of profiles
  • Compensation packages
9. Is the option of conducting placement processes off campus available ?
On campus recruitment remains the primary mode of placements. If the Company cannot make it to the campus for any reason, it is possible to work out other convenient arrangements. Please contact the Placement Office for further information.
10. How to reach IIM Raipur placement processes off campus available ?
Raipur has good connectivity by Air, Rail and Road.
By Air: All leading domestic airlines operate flights between Raipur and other major Indian cities (Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Delhi, Hyderabad, Indore, Kolkata, Mumbai and Vishakhapatnam). Distance from the Raipur Airport and IIM Campus is about 20 kms.
By Rail: A large number of trains operate on the train route to Raipur on a daily basis, ensuring a strong connectivity with all major cities in India. Distance from Raipur Central railway station to IIM Campus is about 30 kms.
By Road: Raipur is linked by National and State highways. Raipur is connected by National Highway 6 (NH6) (connecting Mumbai-Calcutta) and by NH47 (connecting Visakapatnam). Both, the airport and railway station lie in close proximity to the city centre and leading hotels in Raipur.
