Kerfuffle
Participants are paired into groups of two with a topic assigned to them on the spot and opposing sides of the argument. The event is a debate-style event during which participants are given sufficient time to prepare and present their case, followed up by a discussion round. Participants are evaluated on their performance by the judge based on the criteria set.
Shaam Mastani
Open mics add vibrancy to college life by providing a platform for creative expression. This event is routinely graced with people’s different stories and talents in the form of poems, singing, and stand-ups and brings together a diverse array of performers as well as audience members for a memorable night of entertainment and community. Freedom of expression is promoted, with most performances enhancing the friendships, love, and life of students at IIM Raipur.
Mic Drop
A public speaking event during which participants bring their favorite lines or scenes from all forms of media to life via acting and mimicry with no restrictions on genre or language.
Tarkash
PROvakta’s flagship intra-college event, participants compete in teams of two against other teams through intense knockout rounds, combining teamwork and sharp arguments to battle their way to the ultimate championship title.
Chronicles
“Chronicles” is an inter-college debate competition modelled on the Indian Parliamentary Debate format, emphasizing logic, rhetoric, and real-world application. Participants assume roles as Government and Opposition to engage in structured, high-energy debates on motions reflecting societal and policy challenges relevant to India and the world.
