Dr. Jagannath obtained his doctoral degree (PhD) in the area of Finance and Accounting from the Indian Institute of Management Indore. He is a qualified Cost and Management Accountant (CMA) and Company Secretary. He worked in the banking sector for nine years (public sector and private banks) before pursuing a PhD. His research interests lie in bankruptcy, financial distress, banks, and corporate governance. He has published in ABDC-indexed journals and has published a case study with Ivey Publishing. He has also presented papers at several conferences of national and international repute. He is also a member of the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF) and the Indian Finance Association (IFA).
