HRM & Organizational Behaviour
The Human Resource Management & Organizational Behaviour (HRM & OB) area at IIM Raipur brings together faculty with strong academic grounding and practical insight to explore how people, behaviour, and organizations shape each other. The area focuses on developing an understanding of human dynamics at work and building the capabilities needed to lead with empathy, clarity, and purpose. Teaching combines behavioural perspectives with strategic HR thinking, enabling learners to engage with the human side of business in a meaningful way. Electives such as Talent Management, Performance Management, Compensation and Rewards, Learning and Development, Change Management, Crisis Management from a Human Perspective, Conflict and Negotiation, HR Analytics, Industrial Relations and Labour Laws, Strategic Human Resource Management, and Positive Psychology for Managers help students connect theory with practice and prepare for the evolving demands of modern workplaces.
Research in the area reflects a similar blend of depth and relevance. Faculty examine issues related to leadership and followership, employee engagement and well-being, organizational justice and ethics, workplace spirituality, HR analytics, change and crisis management, and the future of work. Their work contributes to understanding how culture, values, and systems influence individual and organizational growth. Through its teaching, research, and executive education, the HRM & OB area at IIM Raipur aims to nurture leaders who balance people and performance, empathy and effectiveness, and who can build organizations that are not just successful, but also humane and sustainable.
